ok to feed rats that sneeze? a lot
If the rat appears to have a RI would it be safe to feed? Would anything transmit to the snake? I bought a rat and didn't notice the sneeze until I got home.

I don't think an RI is transmissible from a rat to a ball python but I wouldn't risk it. I would take the rat back to wherever you got it and get a healthy one.

rats sneeze for mroe reasons than just colds like we do they do it when stressed with new homes and just a change of bedding can do it. to not feed it because its got a little sniffle is kind of petty

It is perfectly fine to feed a rat that had sneezing and or RI. This is because what a rat has a snake cant get. Due to being warm blooded and cold blooded sicknesses.
You think us humans being sick, that snakes would develop chicken pox or strep throat. Theres different forms of RI is each species.
