Do I have to "Keep 'em seperated
    Hi everyone

I want to know if i have to keep my snake seperated at some point to help with breeding. I have only 1 group a male bumble bee and 2 girls normal, pinstripe. They contrast so well that would like them to live togathert full time but is i have to move the boy out for a couple months a year i can, also if i do have to seperate them sould i pick up a male i dont intend to breed to help get his juices up??

    thanks
    chris

It's best to keep your BP's living separate at all times to prevent the spread of disease if one gets sick, and also to keep stress down, feeding up and to know who pooped and who didn't. Also the male can try to breed the females even if they're not up to weight and you re potentially risking the lives of your snakes, if they get egg bound or anything it's a bad day in hell bud.

    Hello,
You really should have an proper enclosure for each snake, ball pythons are more of a solitary reptile, and many problems can arise from keeping them together.

Do not keep ball pythons together in permanent groups. The only time they should be together is during breeding and that is just one male and one female.

I have found arguments for both within this group and in all my reaserch on the subject, both seem to be practiced with sucess but i did find a disection video that shows them take a similar sized BP out of the another both about 2 fters. To me that was enough to say maybe seperate cages is a good idea. Beware the canibal Ball
