    Morph Question...
Are Banded ball pyhtons the same as reduced pattern ball pythons...if not how can you tell the difference?

Reduced refers to the lack of alien heads but banded refers to pattern that connects from one side of the animal to the other side creating a band.

Where's Robin when you need her, I'm pretty sure she has both examples.

As Rich already said, banded and reduced pattern are not morphs - they are descriptors of a pattern. Although, there are some genetic banded and genetic reduced pattern lines out there, I don't know if that makes them a recognized "morph".

This female is both banded and reduced pattern. Her side pattens have no alien eyes - or dots in them, which makes her reduced pattern. Some of her side patterns cross over her back, connecting the side patterns from side to side, which is the banding. She is the most banded girl in my collection:

Here are some other reduced patterns:

this girl also has some banding:

    Reduced pattern with no banding:

And my enchi is reduced pattern and banded:

One other note - a snake does not have to have a completely reduced pattern to have banding.

Here's my Jolliff Tiger male - who is NOT completely reduced, but has banding.
