eventually want to get new snake.
hey all, im going to custom build an enclosure (as nice as i possibly can) over the next year or 2 (im going to school and stuff so not super fast)

and i would like to have a larger snake to put in the enclosure, my cage dimensions are going to be rougly around

4' high x 7' long x 3' wide (nice sized for climbing snake)

what are some larger snakes you'd suggest to put in a nice enclosure like that, im looking for something around 500-750 dollars.

Carpet pythons come to mind, Theyre somewhat arboreal too I believe if you're wantin a climber. Great lookin snakes too. You put this in the boa section though, so maybe an emerald tree boa if you've got the experience

well im not too picky on the type of snake, idc wether boa or python,

why do emerald tree boas require more experience?

I've never kept one, but from everything I've read they do not tolerate mistakes in husbandry at all. And I don't think they're a snake that takes to handlig very often. I'm sure there's someone else here that knows them
who could give more insight though

Emerald tree boas do not handle well, especially when young. They're more of a display snake.
