Dumeril Question

I'm pretty sure my next snake is going to be a dumeril's, so I'm just doing a little research. I've heard they're pretty slow growers, is this true? What temps/humidity should they be kept at? And are there any good breeders yall know of? I know a guy that's got a young one for sale, and he's very trustworthy, but it wouldn't hurt to check around.

Yes, they are very slow growers. They've also got a slow metabolism, so stick with a slow and steady diet. Temps are similar to BP temps; 80* cool side, warm side no higher than 95* (although I'd stick below 92*). Humidity around 70%. Definitely not a glass-tank snake. I'd recommend an AP-10 for an adult, possibly something a bit larger for big females.

Sorry, I don't know of any Dum breeders. I'd say that if you trust this guy, go for it. Health problems are too common in Dums (no genetic issues that come up in snakes like BCCs), but still ask the usual parentage, size, age, etc. questions.
