Re: HELP...Heating Scare!!!
What are your cool side temps reguarly? That is pretty odd. Where is your tstat probe placed? Where is the thermometer probe placed?
Re: HELP...Heating Scare!!!
If you know your house didn't get that hot then, depending on where your thermostat unit is located, it may have gotten wet causing an eratic reading from a temporary short, bad readings possibly from the batteries getting low, or possibly old data still stored in the unit from factory testing. Some thermostats have a small "reset" switch, usually a tiny hole that you can stick a pin or small nail in and hold it for a few seconds in order to reset the unit to default settings or zero it out...

Re: HELP...Heating Scare!!!
the heat probe might not have been in the right place.. this has happened to us when the heat probe for some reason was on the rack but on the the flexwatt and the heat went up to 100*+ We managed to tape the probe onto the flexwatt and don't have that problem anymore

I may be switching to a rack soon. I'll keep that in mind when the time comes...

Re: HELP...Heating Scare!!!
Like what was already said, reset the unit and see if you get the same readings! Don't take a sick day if you don't need to!
