    What a day!
    Where do I begin?

Ok first off, for all you Southern Cali people...Check your humidity...Maintaining humidity is not so bad out here, but due to the wildfires...it has been a little hotter and dryer than usual...Never has this happened, but half of the bowl of water was gone today as I wasn't home, and the humidity dropped down to 39%...I do have a tank, but I mist about once a week...and thats how little I have to worry about humidity...

So today I decided to buy 10 feeder mice, being that they've been only have had hoppers that past couple of weeks, and since I have an extra mouse tank, I decided hey why not just buy 10 and feed them off when they get the appropiate weight, that way i don't have to go in back and forth...
Well 2 hours later after I got home, 5 of the 10 just passed away...Could it possibly be due to the hot drive? (I'm only 10 min away) and is this something that I should confront the petshop owner in regards of giving me 5 more hoppers? Tell me what you think...

And in other news... For the first time, I just got tagged!...Well not quite, he head-butted me...He goes on a feeding frenzie when I feed him in his tank (something that I not prefer; 90% of the time he goes into a feeding bin)...I was too lazy to put him in his feeding bin...and decided to feed him 2 hoppers...and as I was changing his water, he decides to come out and kiss my hand...I was definitely startled...but I guess he figured that it was me (is that possible?)

So now that I sprayed his enclosure, he's licking the walls of the tank like if he was Charlie in the Chocolate Factory...

Heck, it was 85 here in SAN FRANCISCO yesterday... and we freak out if it gets above 70, LOL. ;) My humidity levels seem okay, though, but they've been wacky lately. Anyway, sorry you had such a crappy day!

Speaking of mouse problems, last week I bought 3 adult mice, and somehow all of them escaped from the critter keeper (in my car). We looked everywhere, but only managed to capture two - until last night, when I found the missing one dead in the front seat. Blech. :P

the reason you got tagged is because you stuck your hand in his enclosure near the time you were feeding him and he could smell food. Mistaken feeding responses are the number one reason for bites and they are always 100% preventable by the keeper. Every BP that has ever struck at me (getting me or not) i knew it was going to happen. You can read your snake :)

i NEVER stick my hand in any of my snakes cages after i feed them. If they tip their water or poop everywhere they can deal with it for a few hours or till the next day when i know they've gotten out of feeding mode and i have the right amount of time to clean cages thoroughly.

We're having a nice "cool" spell here in the southeastern part of the US. Low 80's. Yesterday felt like early fall - LOVE it!

Yes sir!...And there is this HUGE cloud of smoke not far from where I live...and it has not been this hot this summer...9:00 this morning was already too hot...

And I called the Petshop up and they said since they sell it so cheap, and due to the heat that they don't do exchanges, especially that 5 died...I'm gonna probably have to agree with him...It was extremely hot yesterday...

I'd only wish it was that "hot" over here....

The mouse probably committed suicide, through carbon monoxide poisoning...

:colbert: Actually I didn't get tagged I got headbutted :weirdface

When I stated that he was on a feeding frenzie, it meant the same as "feeding mode"...I was aware of the consequences of my actions...I was more curious to see if he had the "regius" to do so. But thanks anyway!:D

Yeah the past few days have been hotter than all freakin' summer! I'm in Oceanside, my humidity is normal... have to keep an eye on it, I have a chart that I update every three hours. I've yet to get tagged, but it has hardly been a week, still a newbie =/ Soon enough!

    My chart
