Someone come take a look at this...

I found some kind of wound on one of my breeder females that I've been talking about. I don't know how I missed it, but I guess next time I will give my snakes a way better look over then what I did. It doesn't seem to bother her, and it doesn't seem like its open or anything. It looks like it healed already, but theres either dried blood or something else around it I can't really tell. I might be hard to tell from the picture, but you can see the line where it looks like she was cut open from something. Anyway, just wondering what I should do about this to keep it clean and what not, cuz it looks somewhat healed its just not pretty looking. Also when you touch it she doesn't react at all and moves around with ease, and when you touch it, it feels smooth.

Yea these things do happen.. Put some Neosporine (with out the painkiller) on it and keep her dry.. watch for infection..should be fine. I've seen way worse than than clear up just fine

I didn't think it was that bad, but again you always hear the horror stories so I figured showing you guys would be best. I actually haven't fed them yet because I've only had them for about a week, but I know the owner before me fed live. But what a relief, I thought i was going to have to start dishing out money for a vet visit...

Keep an eye on it.
My guy was rubbing and has a wound on his head. I've been cleaning it and putting neosporin on it, but 3 months later it's still not healed and a little worse (not horrible, but worse).
So he went to the vet (Dr. Kevin Fitzgerald) and he said that it was a little infected. That BPs have a lot of different bacteria on them that are very opportunistic, so that BPs are slow at healing. My guy got an injection of antibiotic (Baytril), then I give it orally once a day and clean the wound and apply the cream (Silver sulfadiazine) once a day.
Your snake doesn't look awful, but they can take quite some time to heal, so make sure it doesn't get worse.
The vet visit, the medication, wash and injection was all under $75, FYI, so make sure you do what your snake needs.
