    Dented Eye
My oldest BP shed a few days ago, and tonite I just noticed one of his eyes in dented in a little bit.

Is that normal after a shed? Will it fix it self? Im pretty sure it's not a stuck shed. Just dented in.

    Thanx

Normally, eye denting is a a symptom of dehydration. This would seem odd as you said it just finished shedding, if the shed went without problems your humidity should be fine.

Try giving the little bugger a warmish bath/soak and see if it pops out.

His shed was fine, and he looks the best he has while Ive had him. 2 sheds with me. He also left a very nice big log... lol

I'll try that tomorrow, I just put him back in his tub a while ago after checking out his eye.

Im not sure how you guys capture the true color of your snakes with a camera, but I cant do it for the life of me. He is more of a silver color.

Cruising around in my drumset carpet.

This picture was taken after his last shed, I had not noticed the dented eye then.

My BP had the wrinkled eye thing a while back. At first I thought it was eyecaps also, but then the next time he shed I checked it and it was a complete shed with eyecaps, yet his eyes were still wrinkled.

I tried soaking him to no avail, since you can't really keep his eyes wet. then I tried a damp pillowcase and that didn't work either. Next, I got some sphagnum moss, wet it and stuck it in a bowl inside his tub beside his water dish. this helped , the next time he shed his eyes were back to normal. I guess the extra humidity helped.

When it happened I was starting to get nervous because I was talking to the guy at the reptile store I got him from, and he said if you don't get the eyecaps off and they start to build up the snake could go blind.

I was pretty relieved when his next shed came and went and his eyes were fixed.
