What type of heaters do you use to raise your room temp? I have a small heater we bought but its just not doing the job. I would like my room to stay around 80.

Re: Room heaters?
I have one of those small oil filled radiator types. it is just a suppliment to a baseboard heater. neither of them run on high... I think it works well for me. It is in a basement room that is 25x15, and poorly insulated. And it can get COLD here.:O

Fallguy, have yoiu seen your electric bills go up very much. I use a pretty nice space heater, not oil radiator, and it has jacked up our bills

Denial you running a heater in the middle of summer? You're about 2 1/2 hours south of me and its hot here I know Greenville is scorching! My sister and her family lived there for many years right off of White Horse Rd.

Re: Room heaters?
I have not seen a major increase because of that. The electric company says it is because of all of the Christmas lights we run. I don't think I can count 5 strands on or in the whole house. Some years, none.
Upstairs, I have wood heat. In the basement with the snakes, just the two heaters, and a lot of insulation over the windows and doors.

Yea I like to keep my snake room at 80-85 degrees at all times. But we keep our house set at 68-70 degrees
