Breed permit?

hi, well i wanna know if i need a permit to breed snakes and sell it here in calgary? i think i do but i really dont know, ty

I HIGHLY doubt it. The only things to watch out for is that your not breeding/keeping snakes that are illegal in your city. Venomous + Native snakes need permits in Canada to keep. Some cities have bylaws against large snakes.

how does one go about getting a permit too own venomus snakes

You do NOT need a permit to keep or breed snakes in Calgary. You however can not own any of the giant constrictor species. You also might want to go to the Red Deer Reptile Show this coming weekend Aug.29-30/2009
It will be in the parkland pavillion complex lots of signs. I will be there with about 100 snakes to sell.
