    Komodo Dragon...king of his domain!

My personal favorite...a Gaboon Viper...incredible looking snake that you have to see in person to believe. It actually looks velvety to the touch! If you look closely, you can see my daughter's reflection in the picture...which is neat because these are one of her all-time favorite snakes.

Hope ya'll enjoyed! If anyone else decides to visit the zoo...maybe let those of us in the area know...maybe we can all go together???

He(?) was about four feet long, and as big around as a well-fed bp! LOL He was very active that day, cruising around his enclosure and posing for pictures. I'm guessing it was probably close to his feeding time.

Very cool that you got to see it being active. It looked heavier-bodied than a bp to me, but maybe that's because I didn't really have anything to compare it to. I really like the dorsal stripe, though.

btw, that viper is MUCH fatter than any bp i've seen. and i've seen quite a few bp's.

Anyone else have a "clutzy" snake??
That could very well be. He was a very girthy snake. I don't have much experience with fully grown bp's. All the ones I've ever handled have been babies or juvies.
