    dosent know how to eat?
is it possible that a ball python may not know how to eat? i have a young normal that i had to start assisted feeding and its been a few weeks and he still wont eat on his own, neither live or frozen thaw. but once there is the smallest part in his mouth he raps it like any other ball? i only continue to assist because hes still quite small despite eating every week.

if hes not loosing any wieght i would not continue assist feeding, you could do more harm than good, how many grams is he? how long have u had him? i would double check your enclosure to make sure the temps are rite and also make sure he has hides and plenty of cover to make him comfortable and secure...bps are known for being pick eater anyway, maybe give him alittle time to adjust, hell come around

It can take more or less time before it kicks in.

I had to assist 2 hatchings in the past one for 3 feedings the other for 6 months before finally one day she decided to eat on her own.

Make sure your BP his in a tight enclosure, switch to aspen bedding if haven't done so already, provide proper temps etc and keep trying.

It always hard to say when to give up but obviously at one point or another the animal will have to eat on it's own.
