Feeding with stuck shed on head?

Hi all. My BP shed but there is a patch stuck on top of his head and a bit down his neck. He’s due for feeding, and I can tell by his behavior he is hungry. Do I need to get the shed off his head before I feed him? Will the stretching of his skin while he swallows hurt him because of the stuck shed? I’d rather feed him and give him a full belly before attempting to get the shed off (of course waiting a couple days after for him to digest). I’d prefer him to not be hangry when I put my fingers near his head.

You can go ahead ( sorry ) and feed as normal ... then decide how you want to deal with the stubborn shed in a few days imho

After a couple of days of digestion you can wrap it up in a wet , rough textured bath towel and let it slither around inside whilst applying very , very gentle pressure to the head no neck region . Any dead skin will come off onto the towel without causing any pain or discomfort to the snake ( or you !) .

I’d be amazed if it doesn’t work :)

If you normally handle him it’s an easy fix. I would soak him in the tub an then let him craw through a wet towel. The soak will loosen everything an the snake will probably go to the bathroom in the tub or on you while he crawls around. After the shed is gone feed him.
