how long in a 32qt tub?
This question is for the future, but I'll like to know right now. I have only one snake in a 32qt tub sterile (think I spell that right :)) he's a male and only 190 grams or so......How long can the male stay in the tub before moving to a bigger size? How long should he be or a certain weight before switching into a bigger tub if needed? :confusd: hope I didn't confuse anyone

32 qt should be fine for an adult male, unless he grows exceptionally large (I'm assuming he's not a sub-saharan ;)).

No, he's a BP......I know they like tight spaces, but I figure if he gets like 3ft something that he would be too tight in a 32qt tub

An adult male (of average size) can live his entire life in a 32 qt tub. Unless he starts pushing 2000+ grams or 5 foot, he'll be fine in a 32 qt.

My move up size is either approaching 3 ft, or 2000 grams, which ever comes first. My normal male is over 4ft and 2000 grams and I'm about to move him out of his 41 qt tub. It just seems way too small for him. I just need to save for an AP cage.

Sub-saharan, which is also sometimes called Volta, refers to a sublocality of BPs that are known for growing exceptionally large, so if yours was one then a 32 would get tight pretty quickly.

It will be a judgement call on your part really. A lot of males will stop or slow feeding during breeding season, and male pythons are smaller to begin with, so he may be quite content in a 32qt for several years if not indefinitely.

You will never have to move him, even 28qt tubs are fine for big females unless they are pushing the 5000g mark

Sub-Saharan's are BP's, they are a 'type' that grow massive, not some other snake.
Edit: Bagemash beat me to it!!!
