    reptile expert/vet?
wondering if we have any vets or herp experts registered to this forum? that way we can get an experts opinion without goin to the vet. save some time and money. so far, all you guys have been wonderful with info and advise. but i thought it would be cool to have an online vet :D if anyone knows a vet or whatever, see if there interested in registering to the site.

Even though this is a good idea in theory, in practise, it is not. It is not possible to fully diagnose and treat any animal online through pictures or the animal owners verbal info, you cannot treat without being able to fully handle and examine an animal.

Also, this type of thing could lead to a HUGE issue of "well so and so is a ... and says to.. and said to give....." and then it turns out the animal did not get the appropriate care/treatment and either dies or gets worse. Could lead to legal issues I think also.

If you want your herp to see a vet, go take them to your local vet for the appropriate treatment, online forums can only offer opinions and ideas, not proper medical care for our herps.

If you have any questions about reptile health issues, just ask away. you would be surprised what some of the more experienced keepers know.

I agree, minor things (Judge yourself what minor means to you) can be answered by some of the people on here. Anything else should be reason to take it to a vet!

Ask, but know that even the most experienced keepers can't just diagnose over the internet, because it could be anything.
