    Water conditioner
The Pet Care crew at my PetsMart uses Reptisafe reptile water conditioner in the drinking, soaking, and misting water used for all their herps. Does anyone here use water conditioner/dechlorinator for your snakes and/or lizards? If so, is there any difference between aquarium(fish) conditioner and reptile conditioner?

You don't have to do that for your water unless it's very chlorine heavy. I just use the pur attachment thing I got from Costco that I use for drinking water. It connects to my faucet so it's pretty convenient. Mineral heavy water leaves stains on glass though.

It's a waste of money for most people. I use an active carbon filter (brita filter) for any water that I drink/cook with and my reptiles get the same.

If it's safe for you to drink, then it's safe for your snakes to drink.

    My snakes love beer.. :p

I always leave my water sit for a day or two.

Tap water is fine. The chlorine will evaporate out anyway. No need to let the water sit out either. It's not like your snake is going to go diving in head first and start gulping down the water right away. If he does you got other problems I'd say.

Oh yes, and beer is always good makes them shiny. :)

Phx tap water sucks so I put a few drops of reptile dechlorinator in, but then I get it free from the Petsmart booth at the expos and never have to buy it. I need to get a filter lol.

Beer is great for them, makes their coats soft and shiny!

I've used reptisafe and other water conditioners for all types of reptiles. I've also used normal aquarium or pond conditioner. I dechlorinate my water due to high levels of chlorine and chloramines, the latter of which does not evaporate with time out.
