    worlds smallest hatchling???
well i wasn't sure if this little one was going to make it. so i didn't want to post pics of he/she until i was positive it was going to. i had this little pastel cross crawl out from a bleek 5 egg clutch. amazingly all 5 eggs still hatched. it weighed in at a whopping 12gms when it first crawled out. the pastel sis it's picutred next to is only 58gms. actually left it in the incubator for about a week in a deli cup i was so unsure about moving it into the baby room. after a few weeks of worry i can now report that it is eating pinky mice on its own. while never having to actually assist feed. it just ended up taking the little one that long to use up all its yolk. it actually still lives in a deli cup since i loose it in a 6qt tub. lol.
it next to its 58gm pastel sis.

i'll get updated photos of it once it finally gets some size to it. if you look in the first pic it actually has a perfect coat hanger on its back. therefore i named it hanger. also for the fact i was hopeing it would hang in there. lol

i was amazed it even crawled out of the egg! its been alive for about 6 weeks now. took it almost 4 weeks to use up all its yolk that it sucked in. it did leave a lot behind in the egg. so that's why i didn't think it was going to make it. i'm so happy its eating on its own too. since i was afraid trying to assist feed it might just kill it being so small. droped the first pinky in and when it snatched it i just about fainted. ever since then its been eating one about every 3 days.
here's shots of the egg it came out of and why you never give up on the ugly ones. lol

That is mighty small...the smallest I ever hatched was 30g, and the smallest I have ever saw was 19g. If it's eating...it should survive and thrive!!!
