    2017 Infernalis litter born today...s
When I arrived home with wifey this afternoon I decided to check on my gravid California red sided girl. Lo and behold a tub full of baby garters. So far I counted 16 with mom still attempting to finish dropping. Unfortunately there are another 6 that were stillborn. She is a neon blue Cali red that I bred to a male "pianchi line" neon blue. This is the male... I will post the mom and babies tomorrow when she's done laying.https://ball-pythons.net/gallery/fil...ge_995013.jpeg

Well, I have been raising two pair of T.S. Infernalis for abut two years but only started breeding them this season. I will put the baby pics up tomorrow. Thanks.

Thank you C.M. The count for stillborns is 7 now. She is a big female and I didn't expect such a high mortality rate. :( . I do have the other female who is gravid so I hope she has a better production of live babies.

Wow, those are beautiful. I went years not knowing there were gorgeous garter snakes besides the easterns I see occasionally here in MA.

Wow! There are so many amazing garter snakes out here. One of the things most garter snake keepers want to do is to bring them back to the forefront. Thanks. Remeber they are the original " first snake" for so many of us but now they have been taken to the next level. Eventually they will be making room on Morph Market for the infamous garter snake and its multitude of morphs.

Thanks again C.M. It absolutely is a tough pill and i try not to dwell on the mortality and morbidity instead on the new lives created. Reptile reproduction never gets old! :D
