I don't know how he did it, but he accomplished escaped yesterday afternoon and I haven't found him since. I have cleaned the entire first floor and still nothing. I've looked in every spot available and even set up a heat lamp just in case.
we have a 16-17 year old cat that lounges the house when not outside. he was in the house when my Savannah Monitor escaped, but there were no signs of a chase or trouble.
Drogon is 4-5 weeks old and its making me very stressed and upset that I have yet to find him.
    any advice?

savs love hiding under stuff. check under literally everything. (especially warm places like behind appliances, but be careful not to smush them) they can squeeze literally anywhere. (even under doors if small enough.) in my experience, they love dark closets, and somehow getting under the cabinets of computer desks.

keep the house as silent as possible and you will hear the little bugger scratching around. leave out some smelly ice in the middle of a room and he may go to it.

(it looks like you're due for a tank renovation soon. mesh is not good for savs, it kills the humidity. please check out varanustalk.com and savannamonitor.net, they are great resources.)
