I hate to report this, but either the rubbermaid wasn't snapped on all the way yesterday or since the lid is partially cracked, Ko Kame snuck out of her cage.

This totally bites. She could hide in a paper towel roll. We've already dug all over the apartment looking for her.

good luck in the search. I have had 2 escapes but Thor has never strayed far from home so there was never any worry. Check where it is warm, watch where you sit, check the vcr, and hope she pops up(i am sure she will):)

We moved all of the animals other than the cat into my bedroom, and turned on the AC. Trying to bait her to at least go into the bedroom (if she isn't there already). It's warm in there and it'll be quite cool everywhere else.

The cat is locked into the bathroom.

    Ouch best of luck!

As someone likely to be equipped with critter keepers . . . do you have any spares and some rodentish bait you could pop inside? Maybe sit a hide on the floor nearby and light it all up with a red heatlamp? Might be worth a shot. We've had a few escapes and lured a couple back like that.

    She has been found!

We stuffed all of the animals in the bedroom (aka herp room). Locked the cat up in the batheroom, blocked all of the vents in the bedroom and turned the AC on so it'd be like 65.

I had planned on buying a live rodent tomorrow and using it for bait if she was still MIA.

I figured out how she might have gotten out, other than me leaving the lid not completely snapped on that side. Stupidly on my part as well, she was the only snake that wasn't equiped with a bungie cord. The cords of the thermostat and the thermometer make it easier to pop that side of the container off. The problem has been solved (I hope).
