Finally made it back to church today! And the first church we visited, I really liked. It's a different denomination than we're used to, but sometimes "different" is really refreshing! It's not a matter of core beliefs being any different...just a little bit different way of doing things. And it's less than two miles from the house! It'll be really nice if we can get involved in a church that is so close. We're going to go again on Wednesday and see how the older kids like the youth-group program they have. Really, the whole experience was rejuvenating and helped restore a lot of my normal optimism.
Went out to lunch today with "my boys" (husband and sons)....my daughter decided to stay home for some rare quiet alone time. Had a nice salad at Chili's and some productive shopping. Was a very lovely Sunday, all in all.
And I'm awfully tired...with a full, fresh week that starts at 5am tomorrow. So I think I'll hit the sack.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
