    Exclamation Trouble with temps in tank

    Ok so i have a 30gallon reptitemp hooked up to a bah1000 therm and i have repti carpet as a liner to hide my wires under and just enough sunstrate to be able to spot clean poop n pee....im worried because ive had the humid up because shes shedding and ever since the temp just stays at 85 i dialed up the therm also and it just stays..i realy dnt want to have totake out the carpet . Oh and the prode for the therm is inside the tank i tried puttn it under the UTH But it wiuld get it too hot and woudnt raise my twmps inside the tank thanks in advance for ANY help!

    Hi,

    The thermostat probe is recommended to go between the UTH and the bottom of the tank to avoid the problem you are having just now.

    How did you increase the humidity? did you spray the tank?

    I think the evaporation of the water is cooling down the probe of your thermometer (but that is, frankly just a guess ).

    Have you treated the tank lid with the foil to help keep in the humidity?

    Did you insulate the back. bottom and two sides of the tank to help with temps?

    Just trying to get an idea of what your situation really is and what can be changed to help it.

    problem fixed...i moved my temp prode when i picked up her poop xD
