Its getting close to that time!

I weighed two of my girls yesterday. Akina, the female I bred this past season hit 1500. I'm getting her up to 1700g before I start pairing, but that is only 200g! Her meals tend to be 150g, so she should gain that in no time. I'm going to pair her with my pastel this season. Then when the pastel goes to my husband's coworker on a breeding loan, I will pair her with my spider. Sadis, the other female I'm going to breed this season is 1040g. I'm getting her up to 1500g before I breed her. She's being paired with my 100% het pied male. I hope to get a het pied female in 2010 but in the meantime and just in case I don't, I'm trying to produce some 50% phet pieds.

So we are getting very close to starting the season. I love how one season almost flows right into the next one. Babies hatch in the summer and you start pairing in the fall. I'm getting sooooo excited. So what are you pairing up this season?

Sounds like fun. Good luck with those het pieds. I've got a few ideas for this season. My female het clown is just shy of 1500 grams so I'm gonna get her to go this season with my het clown male. I've got 3 huge (over 2500 grams each) normal females that I'm gonna pair my pastel het ghost and spider males with, and I plan on getting a lesser/butter male next month so hopefully he'll be done with quarantine in time to get a piece of the action too. I'm not sure if my pastel poss het ghost female will go or not this season she's at 800g so I'm thinking not. Should be a fun season either way

I love pastels. First morph I ever got! And boy was he a fun snake to hold (somebody's got a temper!) He is holding his color well so I'm hoping the babies will come out looking like daddy.

Good luck with your pairing. If you get any pastels this season, you can breed them back to the pastel and try for supers!

I envy you guys that can breed early in the season. Down here in FL I am still waiting for one more ovulation. This year I am not even going to bother pairing up snakes until Jan 1.

I don't bother cooling so I start pairing when the female is big enough. I really can't wait for the season to start. I'm hoping for lots of little spiders and pastels. If I get good odds then I'm keeping a female spider, female pastel, and all female 50% phet. pied normals. All others will be up for sale. Now I just need to figure out how to go about shipping.

Sounds like a good year, I use FedEx for shipping. It's not hard to get verified & they've done a great job for me year after year. You might want to check them out.
