Is my female ready to do the deed?

Stuff Ive read online suggest that weight is the main factor when considering to breed a female ball python. I have a female thats 1 year 2 months old but shes at 1300 grams. I definitely do not overfeed as she eats one rat once a week as do the rest of my balls. Shes just a big girl I guess. I have afriend who breeds them and after looking at her he thinks shes good to go. I just wanted some opinions on this as this will be my first attempt at breeding and I do not want anything bad to happen to her.

    Any thoughts?

I would wait until at least 1500 grams just to be safe.
