Isis Update
When we brought Isis home, she was soooo teeny and gray.

Now, she is finally starting to grow. As her body grows, so does her attitude. She likes to flail while you hold her, no matter how securely you hold her and support her. She does not like to be held. I'll be working with her to get her to calm down. This picture does not represent her colors well since I used flash. It washes her out. She's a creamier tan than in the picture. Also she is longer than she appears in the picture. Part of her body was behind my hand.

Re: Isis Update
Thanks! I can't believe her color. She went from gray to a beautiful tan-ish cream color. And I love the red on her tail. I really wish she wasn't as freaked out about handling. She used to be so good with handling. Even my roommate (now ex roommate) who didn't really like snakes would go and take her out of her cage to hold. Even my sister held her and she's freaked out about snakes.

Re: Isis Update
Did you happen to change anything in her set up or are you doing anything different?

Re: Isis Update
Nothing in her set up changed, but we did move back in February. Moving took us a few week since we only had one car to move everything. During this time, the snakes stayed at the apartment (animals were the last to be moved) and halfway through the moving process we had a giant snow storm and it knocked out the power at the apartment. We were able to move all the snakes over in pillow cases but we had absolutely nothing to keep them in here because it was impossible to move the racks and tanks until a week later. During this time, I didn't really handle any of the snakes and this is when she really started her problem feeding. Now she's back to eating an appropriately sized meal (fully grown mouse, sometimes two) every week. I've been trying to handle her, but she just gets into a striking position or freaks out when I pick her up.
