Adalae almost got lost ... AGAIN
I just need to change her name to Houdini and call it a night...
Tonight was the THIRD time that Adalae has gotten herself into incredibly small spaces from which I have no way of removing her. The first time was when she was still noodle-sized. She got herself stuck inside a wooden chair. The second time she got herself inside the couch, and tonight she found the smallest crack under one of our kitchen cabinets and wiggled herself in there while I was rinsing her dishes.
I had set her on the floor, thinking I'd only have my back turned for a second and that she had nowhere to go. Famous last words, right? So by the time I turned around, all that was left of her was the last foot or so. I flew onto the floor and grabbed her tail, but doing so just made her wiggle harder. I was pulling on her so hard I thought she would snap but she STILL refused to back out of the hole. So, I just did what has always worked in the past: let go, and trusted her to come out at some point. The hole she went into was about a foot deep, and two inches wide. If I climb on top of the fridge I can look down into the hole that she was in, but I have absolutely no way of accessing it.
After turning all the lights off and steaming a frozen rat on the stove, roughly 15 minutes later Adalae came out on her own.
I was so worried about her while she was in there. I was afraid she wouldn't have room to turn around. Once I'd gotten a hold of her I have to admit ... I actually yelled at her and then kissed her and told her never to do it again. Yes, ... I know ... I was talking to the snake.
But she was my first. I'm allowed to get a little emotional over my very first BP, right? ... right???
I took photos but photobucket is down for maintenance right now. I'll post them tomorrow morning.

I grow an attachment to every single creature I take into my care, nothing out of the normal there imo. Since I dont want human children (they annoy me and overpopulation etc.) they basically are my kids c:. Dont blame ya. Glad she came out again!

Well at least you got her out, that's the important thing. And don't be ashamed that you talk to your snake, I do too . Mainly to my first BP/python, lol. And I do kiss her head, but after I do she stares at me, literally.

I have an extra empty tub that has some holes already in it as a holding tub. Whenever she floods the tub with pee, it put her in the other one to clean out her home.

She's good sized, glad she was able to come out, or did come out at that.
