Just thought I'd bring this up right now for future reference. My BP is not shedding right now, but she has some shedding problems.
Last time she shedded, she did shed in 3 pieces without any rips in the 3 pieces or anything. Though, I had to assist her. Why you may ask? She is a lazy shedder. She does not shed on her own, she has me do it for her. Last time she shed, I left her alone to see if she would do it on her own. Though, that didn't work out well. She was in shed for over a week, and in that week she was in blue the entire time. The first few days I soaked her, and after that just left her alone besides misting and water change. She doesn't soak and has never soaked in her water dish either and her water dish is big enough for her. So, the entire week she was in blue, until one day I soaked her in warm water for an hour, and after I took her out her eyes were clear. I put her back in the enclosure and she never tried to shed. I took her out, assisted her (like I have done for a year now when she sheds..), and she shed in 3 clean pieces without any problems.
So, I have no clue what to do. She just is very lazy. Even at the pet store she gave them a hard time with shedding. When I got her, she had a large piece of shedding left on her head so I had to take that off since she wasn't even trying to take it off herself.
