Any reason for bubbles besides an RI?
So I've had a lot of fun with my little mojave. About a week after I got her I had her out and noticed some faint clicking. The next morning I asked both my parents to listen, fearing an RI, and neither heard a thing. I managed to peek into her mouth and didn't see any bubbles or mucus. So it was decided I was going crazy / was extremely paranoid (of which I'm very guilty), and after that I didn't notice any clicking at all.
Fast forward three weeks later... I just checked her tonight and there were bubbles coming from her mouth... but still no clicking after ten minutes of me sitting there with her head to my ear. I couldn't get her mouth open to see, however. I checked again an hour later and she wasn't blowing any bubbles at all.
Now, regardless she's going to the vet in the morning so I can finally know for-sure if she has it or not (and then kick myself for not following my first instinct three weeks ago). Since I've finally gotten some live mice she's eaten three times with no issues. Other than those Houdini bubbles, she doesn't seem "off".
So... are there any reasons at all that a snake would have bubbles, if not an RI? Or does she just really, really, reeeaaally want to drive me insane? (It's working, too. )
Which, by-the-by, do any California / Sacramento area people know if Marianne Brick at the Madison Avenue clinic is good with herps? The research I've done says she's amazing, but none of those same reviews ever mentioned actually taking their own snakes and such to her. If not, any suggestions on vets to take my reptiles to?
