Depends on how well she recovers. Often, it can take a mature female as long as a year to acclimate to a new home and be receptive to breeding, so be prepared for that. Some acclimate more easily than others.

Whatever you do - don't count on getting cash back. There are no guarantees when it comes to breeding ball pythons.

Its OK to "hope" to get some cash back. But don't plan on getting any back. Too many things can go wrong: she's not receptive, male can't get it done, she slugs out, gets egg bound, eggs go bad, babies hatch deformed, etc etc.

Not saying this to scare you, but if you're planning on making money, don't. Because you won't. Do it because you enjoy it and its a hobby and passion. Don't do it hoping to make a quick buck.

They don't go wrong so much as taking longer than you hope for. Out of the six girls I had paired up this year, I only got one clutch... of three eggs. Second year breeding, and fourth year keeping balls and spending more money than can possibly be sane.

No, I'd say most of the times they go right. But things can and do go wrong. I don't want to rain on your parade at all. But always plan for the worst, and then when things go well be thankful for it.

    They can

Slugs - Eggs going bad - Odds being against you (only hatching normals) etc.

There is no certainty when breeding.
