    Leos and fat tailed gekos?

I have a adult female lepord geko. I just upgraded to a 20 long. Can I put another female in with her or can I put a fat tailed geko with her? Or should I just leave her alone. Thanks for any info.

The best thing to do is not have any other animal in there. And definitely never put two different species in an enclosure together. Just because they both need different enclosure requirements and can spread sickness and parasites (including it's own species). It's never recommended to have two in the same enclosure, as it can also lead to stress. Also, you would need to quarantine any incoming animals (putting it in a different room with none of your herps in there) just in case it has parasites or sicknesses that it could spread to the other herps in your collection. The quarantining should take at least 3-6 months.

you can keep several leos (4-5) together just make sure you have 10 gals per leo and only one male per cage (only if your willing to breed), while the females get along males will fight.

never put leos with fat tails.

With most reptiles, they will tend to stress when another animal of their kind or a different species is in their enclosure. Also, when you have two or more reptiles in the same enclosure, that can spread disease and parasites if not quarantined for the first 3-6 months of it living in your home. This also means they cannot make physical contact with each other even out of the enclosure. If the person wanted to get another Leo or even a Fat Tail, it would be best for that animal to have it's own enclosure to itself.

i am very aware of qt methods, i have a leo in qt as we speak and you dont really have to drag qt out to 6 months 60-90 days does pretty good. leos do just fine when kept in colonies, 4-5 females kept in a cage with a male year round is very normal.
    but general rules are
never house 2 males together (they will fight)
only house leos of the same size together
never house a mature male with a young female (hell try to bred b4 her time)

I have seen people putting fat tails with leos but i do not suggest it. You can put another female in the tank, or a male if you want to breed.
    Bye everyone!
