    northern water snake. question

So next to my work we have a little family of northern water snakes living in one of the electrical boxes. They like to poke their big heads out every once in a while and come out and sit in the grass next to the creek and bask. I think they are cool as I like snakes and have a BP. The girl who works with me freaked out and called the energy company to come get them out. They got one but couldnt get the other two, they slithered into the ground where the wires go. I said, "they'll be back". He tried to block off their entrance so theyd die inside, but when he left I took it off I don't want them to die, they aren't harming anyone and they are cool. I figure eventually when they come out i will block the hole up then they will find a new home. In the meantime, we moved one of them to the creak a good few hundred yards away. What are the chances it comes back? I think it's going to but the girl at work and some other ppl who were here don't. I'm just waiting for it to slither on by and laugh and say I told you so. Think it'll come back??

Relocating snakes could be disastrous. Sometimes they come back, sometimes they can't "fit in" with their environment. Often they die.
