Re: And She is Here!!!!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok so she has been home for a few days now... She is the most timid little creature I have ever seen.... She is very very head shy and really hesitant about every thing..... She is a cutie pie though and appears to be settling in.... Now I am going to do the worried mother syndrome....Now I have Rios who is a few months older then her and come to find out is about double her size... He is an avid eater... Hit the mouse the first day I brought him home from Petco, and since then has shied up a bit and now I just leave the F/T mouse in the tank and in the morning it is gone.... Well yesterday, I attempted to feed the little girl since from the breeders calculations puts her at about 9 days with out eating....She looked really interested in the FT mouse but shied from hitting... So tonight I am trying to just lay it in the tank and see if she will eat it that way.... Now I know that since she was hatched last month she has eaten five times.... Four live rat pups and the last feeding was a ft mouse..... Any sujjestions with her and getting her to eat... I really do not want to feed live if I can at all help it... And how big is a rat pup compared to an adult mouse? Shoudl I try hoppers with her? Would an adult mouse be too big at only a month old? I thought I knew what i was doing since I have had Rios for a few months, but he was already a few months old and use to eating FT hoppers that Petco would feed him........ She is just so small that I do not want her to go too long with out eating.
