Popping Question for the Breeders- Puzzled...

So when I bought I bought my female mojave I brought my normal along to have it sexed. When popped the results weren't quite expected, not totally definitive.

I know the males typically have long penes that are easily to distinguish and the females can have smaller pene like bumps. The breeder wasn't totally sure but was almost sure it was a female.

She? had smaller bumps similar to what you see in females. The thing is they were red with blood, not pink as you see in pics and videos. Has anyone had a female where the bumps were red and not pink. I'm trying to get a definite answer on the sex. I may try and take a picture is I can convince myself I won't POP anything, no pun intended...

Usually Dark or pright red means males but not always.

That's almost exactly what they looked like but they were bright blood red. I guess I'll have to try it and take a pic.

Maybe they were being too forceful when popping which caused the super redness? I don't know anything about popping. I've never done it, just seen videos and read stories.
