So... after Ike, our yard was a danger zone. Trees thrown and uprooted, all our fences gone... The hope of putting Amber back outside was not going to happen... I called a good friend after the storm that also has Sulcatas, I was in a crazy panic! And Amber was not enjoying her makeshift pen...My friend and her husband drove to pick Amber up right away... this is when you could NOT find gas, roads were blocked, etc...
Well... the yard was the last thing to get completed, the house being priority. We got Amber back home a few weeks ago, and she settled right back into her routine...
Needless to say Amber had a great visit! A REALLY great visit!
My friend has a male.... and well, these are the result of her extended slumber party!
5 hatched, (Amber crushed over 1/2 the clutch when she laid) 1 is expected to hatch any day, I picked out 2 little heart breakers... and will get a 3rd if/when #6 decides to join the world!
They were all very similar looking... except this one wonky baby! She has a zig-zag going on, and is still very crumpled looking from hatching less that 48 hrs ago. Snapped these yesterday after I got them home, and she(?) has already plumped up some more... Not sure if the pattern is desirable? But I loved it, and how light she was compared to the other baby bulldozers... Enough rambling!
Here they are!
Thanks for looking!![]()
