    PAM Question...

Well I'm pretty sure one of my snake has mites or something. My other snake doesn't seem to have them. Tonight I'm ordering some PAM. The question is how many cans do I need for a 50 gal and a 29 gal enclosure?

    Re: PAM Question...

    PAM is way over priced.

The active ingredient in household lice spray is .50% permethrin and thats the only ingredient that matters it is also in the same amounts. So they are the same product. I have bought PAM for 22 a can and use it but i have also bought household lice spray for 5 a can and used it the same way you use PAM and they work the same. Just remember never spray it on your snakes. Spray the paper down let it dry then place snake in tub or tank. And repeat if needed.

Still not true even though this has been wrongly posted many times. Just because something contains the same active ingredient doesn't make it the same thing.

To the OP, a can of PAM should last you years unless you are a flipper bringing in lots of new animals a week (and I would expect someone doing that to spend the money on a quality product anyway). Use it VERY sparingly.
