Yay!

Cleopatra laid her clutch for me during the night - 9 eggs no slugs.

I noticed her move her tail into the center last night about 9pm and when I checked at 3am she hissed at me!! Little madam that she is.

I could hardly sleep but made myself wait until 10 am before checking on her and this is what I saw when I opened the tub;

She was really sweet about getting removed as well - one hiss and no strikes at all.

So an average of 92.4g per egg I think. They seperated quite easily again so I went ahead and separated all of them the same as I did last year - my incubator is a bit primitive and can't take the size of boxes I would like to use so that really makes fitting them in a lot easier.

I can't find a glass fronted fridge being discarded anywhere - I'm beginning to think it's a conspiracy.

I candled them before I put them in the incubator and all but one are fine.

The last one has veins on one half but the other side is pure yellow - I put it in anyway and will see if the veins spread or die off as the weeks pass.

Cleo is down to 1460g after all this and is now resting in her chamber (it and her all nicely washed and pampered ) awaiting her defrosting rodent.

I am such the happy camper right now.
