Got some questions, that need answering

My male bee is awsome and love him to death. He eats like there is no tomorrow (he would eat everyday if he could). but I got two questions about him. Hes only 2 months or 3 months old. and

    1. Everytime I open his tub I get bit atleast once lol, not that it matters to me (concidering that Hes tagged me a good 20 or more time by this point he always seems to do it when Im not looking) Is this bc i feed him in the tub, or is it just him being def.
    2. When I put food in the tub I seem his head start to kinda vibrate back and forth (Ive been told they do this cause they get excited for food, is this true), but the aswell everytime he finish's the kill (he will only take live at the moment) he will stick his head in the air, Kinda like look at me Im the champ, and then proceed to feed.

Any answers to the questions would be Great thnx

He's probably nervous. Some balls never get over that, but 99% seem to calm down and stop striking at everything. Make sure you're careful and slow, and he'll probably stop.

The shaking could be a slight form of "wobbles" from his spider genes. It could also just be him concentrating on the prey item. Some babys(spider or not) will seem to be over-excited at a food item, and they will 'shake' while poised to strike.

Good luck with your bee. We like pictures!

I think you're getting bit when you open the tub is because you feed him in his tub, every time you open the tub he thinks you have food, so he strikes. Try feeding him outside his tub (in a box of some sort), and maybe handle him a little more if you don't already, and he should stop striking.

That's not true. As long as you are in the enclosure on a normal basis to change water and spot clean, the snake learns to differentiate between your hand and food. Most people here feed in their natural enclosure with no ill effects or aggression.

I feed my Ball Python in the tub and I have never been bit once. Do you just open the tub and reach in within a matter of seconds? I never open the tub and reach in to grab the snake, I let the snake feel comfortable. Only after he flickers his tongue a few times and starts to move do I go in with my hands. I do not plan on getting bit by my pet, imagine if this happens when it is larger and it's teeth are sharper and more defined... Not a good situation, I would highly advise against being bit.

A lot of people on this forum shrug off a bite as if it is something cute when in all actuality your setting yourselves up for a disaster.

I've been feeding my snakes in their enclosures for 4 years now and haven't been bit yet. Its a common myth.
