Ok so I just got my Johnson tstat and I am more than confused.
Please tell me if I'm understanding the different settings on my tstat correctly.
1.) I set the SP (set point) to the temperature that gets the in tank temp to the appropriate level.
2.) I set the dIF (differential) to what I want my "error bars" to be. So if my SP is at 90F and my dIF is at 2F, the tstat will only be active when the probe gets temp readings of <88 or >92F?
3.) The ASd (anti-short cycle delay) is the amount of time the tstat must stop functioning after it was just active before it can become active again?
4.) I'm not sure how the SF (sensory failure option) works exactly...If I have it set to "1" does it shut down the tstat when there is a circuit failure?
5.) The OFS (temperature offset) can be used to create nighttime settings? I'm confused as to how this works as well.
And after explaining to me what all this mumbo jumbo means, could you please tell me what you have your tstat set to?
Thanks a bunch,
Dennis
