    Ball pythons do not need UVA or UVB light. THey get all the vitamins they need from their meals.

    Yeah, they are naturally nocturnal and spend their daytimes underground in termite mounds in the wild. Supplemental lighting wouldn't even get to them.

    Don't be fooled by what some herp vets tell you. They apply reptile knowledge and care techniques to ALL reptiles, when each species has its individual set of needs. I had my vet tell me a snake that hides all day needs UVB lighting. I just smiled and laughed on the inside.
