One of our favorite females, Penelope, was sent to a friend on a breeding loan with our mojave male, Maverick. Penelope was bred to both our mojave, and a spider that my friend owned. Unfortunately, there was a pretty bad and very contagious outbreak of a bacterial R.I. while they were down there, and Maverick died. We brought Penelope home and she managed to pull through once we figured out what kind of bacteria it was and what antibiotics it wasn't resistant to. (It was an EXTREMELY resistant infection.) She gave us three lovely eggs and has been happy and healthy since!

I was SO hoping that we'd get mojaves, I miss Maverick so much. But we got spiders instead, so I guess I can't really complain!

We attempted to sex them last night, but don't really trust our results. We'll have to get a second opinion for sure.

The first one out was Scamper (My Mother-In-Law insisted it be named after how "quickly" it moved.)

Next out was Gobi, who I'm really hoping is a girl, I'm so in love with the pattern:

And finally this morning, I woke up to the third baby! I'm calling it Nareau:

We have one other clutch that should be out any day now, from our prettiest (in my opinion) normal bred to our lovely lemon pastel, I seriously can't wait!
