    Your opinions on BCI/BCC crosses

I was just wondering what everyone else thinks of crossing BCC blood into BCI breeding projects to color them up. I've seen what Suri or Guyana blood can do for albinism and the results really do speak for themselves. Yet, I've seen some really hostile posts on this topic. I understand that there is something to be said for keeping pure lines and obivously that needs to happen to maintain a healthy captive breeding population. However, what is the harm in throwing a Suri male in with an Albino BCI female, for example, one season to get some really bright het albino females to raise up for a project? As long as the animals are properly represented I really don't see the harm in it.

I personally don't see any harm, but if you want more colorful albino boas, why don't you stick to albino BCC instead of crossing them?

The ton of money that comes with that terriotry. Not to mention that the only true albino BCC I am aware of is a WC Suri male that VPI got ahold of.

I'm sure there are others, albinism is a mutation that pops up in any population given enough time.
