Is it necessary to use a moonlight bulb or infrared at night?

Or can I just leave the lights off?

You can leave them on if you want to but it isn't necessary...

The only reason you would need one is if you don't have a UTH and your temp drops too much at night.

I used one before I got my UTH and left it on 24/7. It was horrible for my humidity, but I had to do it to keep my temp up at night. Now that I have a thermostat+UTH I don't use the light for heating anymore. IMO a UTH+Thermostat is a much better solution for heating. The only problem is that it is much more expensive.

Depends on how cool the enclosure gets. I would reccomend not getting lower than 79-80 on the cool side or they could start fasting.

I use a night heat lamp because my room gets cold at night. My UTH handles the temps during the day easily.
