Question Ovulation? Or about to lay eggs?

    What does this mean?

I've heard it means she's ovulating... and will then shed then lay... but she shed two weeks ago, and I assumed *that* was her pre-lay shed as she's been off her feed and acting odd for a few months now.

Anyway, here's hoping for some possible het pieds... we bred her to a het male before we bought a full out pied male. This will be our first clutch!

I think laying inverted only occurs while developing follicles, which would be before ovulation and the pre-lay shed.

Hmmm, yeah makes me wonder what's up! She's huge and lumpy too.

I'd say she ovulated and had her pre lay shed I have 2 girls doing the same things and I saw them ovulate.

I HOPE that's the case. She locked up in Jan/Feb, so this has been a long wait!

Well, hopefully she's gravid for you! But I've had girls who'd never been introduced to a male lay completely inverted on a number of occasions. Good luck though!

I am thinking she is because she's been off her feed for months- and has GAINED considerable weight.
