Ok i'm about to feed my BP on Thursday and i'm going to purchase a tub just for him to eat in. So i'll put him in the tub but, how long should i keep him in the tub b4 i give him the hopper? Also, how long should i leave him in the tub after he eats?

    Re: Feeding ?

It is less stressful on your snake to just feed in their cage. To answer your question if you do decide to feed in a tub I would say about 30 min.

Sorry I read the question wrong. I was thinking you wanted to know how long to leave the hopper with the snake.

After eating maybe ten to fifteen minutes.

    Re: Feeding ?

I believe his question is, how long should the snake be left alone in the tub before he puts the hopper in with the snake.

I would put the snake in first, then put the hopper in right away.

Once the hopper and the snake are both in the tub, immediately wash your hands. If the snake has not eaten in 30 minutes, remove the snake first, return it to its enclosure then remove the hopper and put it back in the freezer.
I say remove the snake first because you want to handle the food as little as possible to avoid forgetting to wash your hands.

I would only try to feed the same hopper twice before throwing it out.

I agree with snake Charmer on the last part. leave the snake alone for about 15 minutes after it eats and then put it right back in its enclosure.

I second knott00... Put the snake in dangle dead or drop in live. if he doesnt eat after 20 mintues or so put him back in the cage if he eats... as soon as he is done and starts looking and moving normally put him back in his cage fore 24 hours undisturbed...

Just feed in the home enclosure. There is no reason to feed in a separate enclosure. It just makes things more complicated than they need to be.
