RBI Iris Sweaterbox Rack-32 Qt - platform?

I've got one on order from RBI, and I seem to recall in a thread that someone mentioned the instructions called for a piece of wood under the rack. If this is correct, what are the dimensions, including thickness? I'd like to have it ready to go when the rack arrives. It'll be in an upstairs room on carpet (hereby formally known as the Snake Pit).

    Thanks,
    Bob

You do not NEED a piece of wood under it. I built a platform using 2x4s for all my racks to sit on just to get a little bit up of the cool tile floor. If you only have one rack it will even fit on an end table.

Heres a pic for what I did, 2x4s, plywood, and black spray paint.
