    Humidity Hides

    Hi All

It's winter here in South Africa and we experience pretty low humidity, around 10-30%.

I have spent the last hour making humidity hides for my balls.

I'd just like to get a feel of what other bp owners do when they introduce humidity hides.

Do you remove their normal hides and replace them with the humidity hides or do you leave their normal hides where they are and then put the humidity hides in?

At the moment I've kept the regular hides on the warm side of the tubs and have put the humidity hides next to these hides, also over the warm side.

    Thanks

    Re: Humidity Hides

I put my humid hides on the cool side, as a completely seperate hide if there is space, I find they dry out too quickly on the warm side.

    Re: Humidity Hides

I don't use humid hides, but I use one for my Giant Leo. I keep hers on the cool side of the enclosure so the heat lamp doesn't dry out the hide. I would say keep both dry and humid hides in the enclosure, but keep the humid hides at the cooler end of the enclosure.
