    Using vanilla??

I have heard several people useing vanilla to lower the smell of their rodents. Does this work very good? How much of a decrease in smell will there be and how much vanilla do you use per gallon of water for the mice or rats??

I use vanilla in the water for my mice, and it definitely makes a difference. I don't measure it, but I put in just enough that the color is visible, but still very faint.

one teaspoon per gallon is plenty.takes the edge off,not the secret weapon some say it is.btw it will make your water system slime up faster,to combat that i add two teaspoons of bleach per five gallons of water, works well.have fun !
