    Hidden Gene Womas all out!

I am very pleased with the clutch and with the three womas I hatched out. I didn't think it could happen but I think I hit just a plain old hidden gene woma . Here's a shot of it tonight and it was the last from the eggs.

Is the Woma from the NERD line or your own line?

    He's got "connections"!

Congrats Matt! He's adorable! I'm hoping to get a HG Woma from Kevin one day myself!

Nice. Was this from a woma x normal breeding?

Very nice! Now you just need to see if the hidden gene does something crazy with the Ghi!

It was from a woma/granite/yellow belly to a pastel. I got a couple of woma yellow bellies and this one.

That's what Kevin is telling me to do too so maybe this coming season...we'll see.

Re: Hidden Gene Womas all out!

Congrats on the hatch Matt. Great looking morph and clearly not a "garden variety Woma".

Considering that it does visually differ from a Woma -- and works differently in combos than Womas -- and does not produce Womas proper when bred... in hindsight, would it not have been less confusing for Kevin to have given it a name unrelated to Woma.

If it is not a Woma genetically or visually, then giving it a different name would remove the mystery, confusion, and apprehension that seems to surround a great animal. Maybe it is not too late to make the name change??? Just my two cents. Great animal for sure!!
