    First clutch ever YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can home last night and checked on my female het ablino and there she was laying on six eggs. Five of them are good a one slug. Average weight of the five is 102 grams. I'm sooooo excited!!!!!!

How long do you guys wait to feed you females after she is done laying eggs?

How wonderful! Can't wait to see the pictures of the clutch and the hatchlings once they are out.

As the previous poster said, don't forget to bathe her and clean her enclosure fully. We gave our females a few days to a week last year after laying, then offered them a smaller than normal meal for the first few feeds before working them back up to their normal prey size.

Be sure like said to clean her up and the cage to get the egg smell out of the cage. once done give her a week to relax and settle down before offering her a meal.

    Re: First clutch ever YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks guys for the advice. I gave her a nice warm bath last night and I cleaned out tub as well. I didn't have my camera last night so as soon as I get my camera back I'll post some pics. Mom was over 2000 gram before laying and now down to 1500(poor thing) but she did good. Yes she was breed to a het albino male.

    Thanks again

    Re: First clutch ever YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hi i just got my first ever clutch from a male lesser and male pastel to a female spider, so im really looking forward to at least one bee of sorts, i got 4 nice white healthy eggs, so exciting

i read somewhere that its good to wait till your female sheds then offer food, my female spider laid 8 days ago and is now due to shed any day now so i figure offering food after shed is a good idea because then she will be double hungry and up for eating

Congrats! I've got 12 days to go before I hopefully see a pip on my first clutch. It's so fun...but a long time waiting for those eggs to hatch.
